Conférence : VIH – De la compréhension du virus à la quête de la g

LE HAVRE

Sans titre-1

Description

For over 30 years, the fight against HIV has seen major scientific advances, both in understanding the virus and in improving antiretroviral treatments. This meeting will take stock of current knowledge on HIV, highlighting innovative research strategies and questioning their limitations.

Accessible to all, the meeting will also raise the individual and collective stakes involved in eradicating HIV/AIDS, as well as the persistent impact of misinformation and stigmatization, reminding us that the end of the epidemic will depend as much on science as on society.

Guest – Jennifer Pasquier is Scientific Director of Sidaction. She turned to biology at an early age, and developed a passion for research. After completing a thesis at the University of Le Havre Normandie, she pursued a scientific career focused on cellular interactions. She worked for over eight years at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, then in Qatar, before returning to France where she continued her research at Inserm. She then joined Sidaction, where she now coordinates scientific strategies and research programs in the field of HIV/AIDS.

This conference is part of the Journées de l?école doctorale normande de biologie intégrative, santé, environnement (JED nBISE) organized by the Université Le Havre Normandie.
