Exposition : Regarder Le Havre – De la skyline de New York aux sil

After being presented at the CCI Seine Estuaire and the Town Hall Forum, the exhibition, produced by the Le Havre? Estuaire de la Seine, arrives at the LH Port Center.

The exhibition was prompted by the question: “Is there a difference between the Le Havre skyline as we see it, and as it is perceived? To answer this question, AURH analyzed nearly 200 existing skylines, comparing them with the realities of Le Havre’s urban landscape. These are distinguished by their composition, graphic style, choice of viewpoint, media used, techniques deployed, and the emergence of elements, whether real, fanciful or unexpected.

Beyond their diversity, it’s above all a question of studying the elements that make them up. Which elements appear most often? Is their appearance linked to their height? Can certain elements alone evoke Le Havre? Are symbols more important than urban reality?
This exhibition, open to all, invites you to explore the estuary?s landscape in a broader sense, providing an opportunity to delve into the past, imagine the future and enjoy the present.

Dates and times: Sunday, October 20, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, October 21 to Friday, October 25, 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Two guided tours, led by AURH, will be held on Sunday October 20 at 2 pm and 3 pm (duration: 45 min).
