Description

Created in 2008 on the remains of the Sainte-Adresse military fort, the Jardins Suspendus is a vast garden that has been awarded the ‘Remarkable Garden’ label since 2014 and the ‘Botanical Garden’ label since 2017.

As in the outdoor gardens of the Jardins Suspendus, the greenhouses house fragile plant collections. Preserving and promoting plants are the main missions of a botanical garden. They make it possible to :
– showcase the plant diversity of our planet,
– provide a better understanding of how ecosystems work, so that they can be better protected,
– safeguard a cultural, social and historical heritage that bears witness to the close relationship between man and plants,
– raise public awareness using concrete, living examples.
