Sorties et activités nature à la découverte de la Réserve naturell
LE HAVRE
Description
The Maison de l’Estuaire is an association responsible for managing a protected natural site located at the gateway to the Le Havre metropolitan area: the Seine Estuary Nature Reserve, i.e. 8,528 hectares of unspoiled nature in the heart of an area where the Manche and the Seine meet and mingle with the earth. The nature reserve has an exceptional biological richness which makes it one of the main migratory stopping places, with nearly 250 species of birds that stop there each year.
Who says reserve does not necessarily say sanctuary and putting under cover! The Maison de l’Estuaire hosts nature outings there throughout the year, so that everyone can discover its unsuspected treasures. Advice to amateurs, boots and binoculars are generally required! For individuals, the Rendez-vous Nature en estuaire de Seine program is online on the association’s website. Visits can also be organized for groups formed on request.
The public is welcomed at the Maison de la Réserve, located next to the Pont de Normandie tollgate. An educational pond set up a few steps from the Maison de la Réserve is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
