Théâtre : L’agonie du pirate – Lazare Pasquer

LE HAVRE

Sans titre-1

Description

A protean artist, Lazare Pasquer presents a piece that’s part physical theater, part plastic conference. Twenty years after the disappearance of Italian cyclist Marco Pantani, he investigates the source of the Pantani myth to explain the disappearance of his idol and sketch out his own escape.

Agonie d?agônía: to struggle, to fight. Based on etymological, historical and iconographic research, L’agonie du pirate follows Marco?s way of the cross and revisits the prophecy of the Messiah Pantani, from his birth in the papal town of Cesena to his media-political crucifixion in Madonna di Campiglio. Backed by irrefutable facts, the play invites us to discover the making of an icon, adored, glorified, then soiled and trampled. In this Christic and poetic itinerary, Lazarus tries not to topple over at the foot of the Calvary, and hopes for the appearance of an awakening at the summit.
