Transat Café L’Or 2025
LE HAVRE
Description
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, the most iconic double-handed transatlantic race will set off under a new name: La Transat Café L’Or Le Havre Normandie. This marks a new chapter in the race’s history, yet its mission remains unchanged: 4 classes, 4 courses, 4 winning duos. Supported by the renowned brand L’Or, the Route du Café continues to grow in fame, bringing unique moments to an even wider audience.
While the name evolves, the race’s essence stays the same: a departure from Le Havre towards a coffee destination, with 4 classes, 4 courses, and 4 winning duos. The Transat Café L’Or Le Havre Normandie remains an adventure shared by two, filled with boldness and sincerity, in a challenging course across the Atlantic.
On October 17, the village will open its doors in Le Havre, showcasing new colors but staying true to its festive, community-oriented spirit, with a focus on environmental respect. Expect thematic days at the village, including topics such as All Alive, Sailing Differently, Better Living, Science and Ocean.
On October 26, the skippers will depart from the Paul Vatine basin, following in the wake of 18th-century merchant ships that carried coffee plants to South America and the Caribbean.
This year, Martinique will again welcome the arrival of the 17th edition in the stunning Fort-de-France Bay, under the watchful gaze of Mount Pelée, where the finest coffee beans, Arabica Typica, are grown.
