Hoist the mainsail high, little cabin boys!
Here, we start sailing very early! In Etretat, Voiles et Galets organises Jardins des Mer courses for the very young, from 4 years old. On the agenda: discover the coast, walks on the cliffs, collecting shellfish, kite making and discovering sailing on board an optimist.
Other courses are offered for children of all ages and teenagers.
In costume in the house of an 18th-century merchant!
The Shipowner’s House is an iconic museum of Le Havre’s history. Curio cabinets, library, study and other rooms of public and private life are organised around a skylight. Children can wear a period costume on request!
Back to the 1950s
The Perret show apartment presents the interior fittings designed during the reconstruction of Le Havre. The youngest visitors will be surprised to discover the everyday objects of the 1950s: record player, typewriter, telephone and period toys!
Adventure in the trees
In Le Havre, in the heart of the Montgeon forest, the LH Aventures park brings together treetop adventure courses, a giant net and zip lines.
Just a few kilometres from the famous cliffs, the Etretat Aventure team also offer aerial courses, climbing walls for the youngest as well as activities adapted to teenagers such as bungee jumping.
An aquarium at the foot of the cliffs
On the road linking Étretat to Le Havre, in an exceptional natural setting at the foot of the cliffs, the Aquacaux marine farm is a unique site. Several aquariums gather together farmed fish and local species. You can also discover the small laboratory where the plankton that feed these fish are raised!
The association also organises many nature walks.
The Circus Festival
Every year in June, the park of Château de Grosmesnil hosts numerous family shows over three days: street artists, jugglers, circus performers and actors who are both funny and impressive.

Every Wednesday during the school holidays, the Tourist Office organises Family Wednesdays, a rich programme with workshops in local farms, walks by the sea or in the countryside (especially with the Pian’Piane donkeys), storytelling as well as various cooking, theatre and cinema workshops with the lamaisonkifailangle, and even making doll’s hats!
